Job Description: Director
of Research
Reporting to the
CEO, the Director of Research ensures that KDPaine & Partners retains its
reputation as the leading communications research company. Working closely with
the CEO, The Director of Research develops new metrics and indices, documents
and promotes new research and research tools, reviews coding and other research
methodologies, and contributes thought leadership pieces to The Measurement
Standard and other publications as needed. The Director of Research Strategy
continuously evaluates the latest research trends, and matches those trends with
the needs of the market. Job responsibilities include:
- Continuously
review KDPaine & Partners research methodology to ensure that it meets high
standards of research methodology as set forth by the Institute for Public
Relations

Design/develop custom indexes and special metrics
such as the
Engagement Index and the Transparency Index
- Develop
Optimal Content Scores for clients as required.
- Oversee
training and coach team leaders as required on research methodology
- Conduct
regular intercoder reliability test on all readers and coders
- Writes
coding instructions for new clients, new indices and metrics.
- Review case
studies and award entries
- Produce
research white papers and articles as appropriate
- Review and
edit KDP & P presentations and speeches to ensure that we are offering the
latest, most current information to our audiences.
- Conduct
internal research programs for TMS and KDP&P to assess our own internal
communications and customer service efforts.
- Work with
the editor to produce case studies and research articles for The Measurement
Standard.
Skills Required:
Must have a
background and experience in marketing or PR research and be proficient in SPSS
or SAS.
Location: Berlin, NH
Compensation:
$45-$60k
